Question of the Week

We've done some Hot Seat activities around our characters too.  Hot Seat activities can be really hard but Hot Seat can also be really fun too.  Hot Seat helps us to understand characters and develop them further as well.

In small teams we've been creating some plays for our drama unit this term. Our plays are based around pirate characters we've created.

What do you think is the most important three things to remember when acting ??

  1. The fist thing is don't show your back at the audience because it's illegal to do the move. The second I think it would be is remembering your parts because if you don't then the show is really bad.The third thing would be really important is doing actions so you can impress your audience and know what's the story is about better.

  2. The first thing that I think is the most important is be loud. The second thing in my opinion would be never show the audience your back and the third thing that I think is important is to include humor! One more tip: REMEMBER YOUR LINES!

  4. The first thing is probably to not face your back to the audience and the second thing is to probably not knock things down with your hands like if you have to knock over a cup in the play and you use your hand. And the third thing is probably to not forget your lines.

  5. Don't let anyone pull you out of character with silly questions. Because all you need to do is ignor the silly question and chose another person.

  6. The most important things for me when acting I think is
    1. Never turn your back to the crowd.
    2. Make sure you always remember you line but if you don't just make it look like that was part of the plan.
    3. And be loud and clear so the audience can hear what you are saying.

  7. To not face your back to the audience is the number one rule because they can not see what is going on, the second one is never be shy because with being shy you would probably mess up the whole thing, and the third thing is to memorize what you are going to say because my group doesn't know there lines very well. Plus never block someone from the audience because that is just rude.

  8. The first rule has to be to face towards us and not facing your back towards us.The second one might be to memorise you're bits so the show doesn't look like they aren't ready to preform. The third thing is to do your best and forget the people and imagine that you have all your best friends.

  9. I think the first thing is to not show you back to the audience because it's a illegal thing to do when acting. The second one would be knowing your lines because it would look bad if you forgot your lines and the third would be to do actions so that the story will make sense and that everyone will understand what you are a doing.

What I think the three main rules of acting is . If someone messes just caring on with the story. Do not turn your back on the audience .

  12. My first thing is that I have to remember 6 or 7 script pieces and second thing is getting my self into character at the right time and when I need to be a certain time the third thing is I am the youngest in the group and my group made me be the main character so that is hard.
