Landform Presentations

Over the last couple of weeks teams have been working very hard to construct their self directed landform presentations.  Today we started our presentations.  Next step . . . peer and self assessment.

Have you ever touched a piece of space?

Room 15 had a very special guest when gemologist, Mr Mohammed Ali came to visit us with his red metal box filled with precious gems.  Inside this box were sapphires of every colour, emeralds, rubies, opals, amethyst and diamonds.  We touched everything! Including a 10 carat black diamond.  New research suggests that black diamonds may come from diamond encrusted asteroid impact sites in the Central African Repulic and Brasil, so have you ever touched a piece of space? We have.
